We hope that the new year has started well for you and we look forward to welcoming you back to the pool in mid-May.
Season Tickets
Season Tickets for the 2024 season should be on sale in April and we will elaborate more on this, in a later newsletter. There will be no Early Bird tickets this year.
We have continued to be busy over the closed season planning this year’s programme of events. Also, the Tuck Shop interior has been revamped with new units, plumbing and tiling – all looking very smart for the 2024 season.
Pool Manager post

Book Sales
Our fundraising bookstall in the Corn Hall, has resumed after the Christmas break. We now have a team of 7 volunteers who set up the stall, usually on Monday mornings, pack away on Thursdays, sort, price and organise books, then collect the cash, count and bank it. Any items we can't sell like very grubby paperbacks, incomplete sets of books or hardbacks that linger on our stall, we pass on to other charities. They then go to paper recycling or interior designers who can use the spines.
Our place in the Corn Hall is a very generous gift from Wildmoor Properties, they do not charge us for the tables, so on occasions we will not be there, when they have a full house of paying stallholders.
We are very grateful to Wildmoor who enable us to raise about ÂŁ2,000 pa for maintenance of the pool. We are also grateful to other stallholders who often deal with enquiries and issues of change from our book customers.
If you have donations of books, please contact a member of the pool volunteer team via volunteer.team@cirenopenair.org.uk, to organise collection or delivery. If you have an interest in helping the booksellers, then also contact us via the grapevine or the same email for further information.
New Volunteers
We are always looking for new volunteers to help at the pool. If you feel that you could spare a few hours each week to join our wonderful, dedicated band of volunteers, we’d be delighted to hear from you, via eamil at volunteer.team@cirenopenair.org.uk or use our Contact Form. Our two main areas where we need help are the Tuck shop and on the gate.
In the meantime, is is not long now until you’ll be back swimming in our wonderful swimming pool. Thank you for supporting the pool.
