Swim Session Booking

All swim sessions with the exception of our 'Drop in' sessions need to be pre-booked. You can see all our upcoming swim sessions on our Swim Session page. Pages underneath show you the different types of sessions we run such as Aqua Aerobics and Fitness Sessions.

Payment for sessions can be made using your PayPal account if you have one or using your debit or credit card.

Getting Here

Cirencester Open Air Swimming Pool is located on Riverside Walk which is only accessible by foot or cycle. We are about a 10min walk from the Centre of Cirencester.  The entrance to Riverside Walk is on Thomas Street between Cecily Hill and The Mead.

We do have a few cycle parking stands on site, but at busy times these can get full.

Coming by Car
The pool does not have any car parking facilities. The car park you see on the video is a private car park and not available to the general public. Most of the streets around the pool have very restricted parking. However, there are a number of public pay and display car parks close by.

Disabled access
The pool has disabled access and changing facilities. However, due to our location and difficulties with parking, we ask you to contact the pool beforehand to discuss your needs and how we can best support you on your visit.

Check the Timetable

While we have drop in and swim sessions, many of our sessions are pre-booked, so please check our Swim Session Calendar to check if you need to pre-book before turning up. Also, some sessions are for adults only, so again check the calendar if you intend to bring young children. Swim Calendar - Click Here

What to Bring

As well as the obvious things, swimming costumes and towels, we also suggest you might bring the following:

  • Pool Shoes - The pool is 150 years old and some of the surfaces around the pool are uneven and a little rough, particularly for those with 'younger' feet'
  • Sunscreen and other sun protection - We are an open-air pool and, in the summer, there is sunlight on the pool for the majority of the day. There are no real shady spots in the pool area, so sun protection is particular important if you have young children.
  • Sun Umbrella - On very hot days as we have a limited number of umbrellas available, but we cannot guarantee they will be available for you so you may want to bring your own, especially for infants and young children
  • Water Bottle(s) - On very hot days for non-booked sessions, you may have to queue so bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated and safe in the queue.
